(You killed Master Goutetsu! I shouldve known.)
(He was too much of a coward to unlock the Raging Demon. He was weak. Just like you!)
The mountains of Japan, today...
Sensei Gouken died about a week ago. I was there to see his final breath. Ken Masters pouned his fist against the wall of the dojo, breaking through it. He stood there for a moment with his back to his training partner. He then spun around, his hair whipping around in along with him. He was filled with rage, and his left eye twitched a little bit.
Who did it, Ryu? Ken asked. Who killed Sensei Gouken?
I dont know, Ryu replied, brushing his red hair back with his hand. I only know what he looks like. Kens rage calmed, and he looked down at his feet. The callous had vanished, and his feet were soft. He had slacked off in his training, and he knew that Ryu had noticed. Ryu always did.
What...what did he say before he...he...
It was hard to make out, Ryu replied. But he said he wanted us to enter some kind of tournament.
Tournament? Which tournament?
The Street Fighter tournament, Ryu replied.
He wants us to join the Street Fighter Circuit?! Ken exclaimed. But thats with all the top martial artists in the whole world!
I know, Ryu said. Thats why Im not going to enter it.
What!? Dont you want to do what Sensei Gouken wants us to?! Arent you going to honor his last wish?
He was near death, Ken. He wasnt thinking clearly.
Sensei Gouken always thinks clearly, Ryu, Ken said. You know that just as well as I do. He knows were capable of doing it. Come on, Ryu, our Shotokan karate is unbeatable!
Ken outstretched his hand to Ryu, who looked at it, then looked at Ken for a bit. Finally, Ryu smiled, and clenched hands with his training partner.
Im in, Ryu said.
Then lets do, Ryu. Lets take on the world!
