What a long and strange trip it's been. The whole Dragon Ball saga began in the weekly manga-zine, Shonen Jump Comics in 1984, quickly adapted into a three anime series, countless animated movies and specials, and an immense line of merchandise. As Japan's equivalent to Superman, it has captured the minds and hearts of millions around the world, including yours truly.
Welcome to the Universe of Dragon Ball, here at SFU! It's pretty much a shrine to everything DB (and DB related), complete with information and artwork from the three series: "Dragon Ball": based on an ancient Chinese/Buddist legend, Akira Toriyama crafts his own retelling of the legend of Son Goku. "Dragon Ball Zeta": the second anime series, based on Toriyama's manga "Dragon Ball", is an adaption of the "Vegeta/Saiyan" saga, up to the end of the "Majin Buu" saga. "Dragon Ball Grand Tour": an original series, set years after the end of the Zeta series. With Toriyama's blessing, Toei Animation takes Goku back to his "childhood" when an old foe wishes him back to the age of 10 with a set of cursed Dragon Balls. With Trunks and his grandaughter, Pan, Goku sets out on another journey to regain his true form. Enjoy! When this section is completed, I hope you find this universe as much fun as I had making it. |
