Profile:
Demona was born in the year 953 AD in the Highlands of Scotland, originating life as a Gargoyle in a Rookery (a grouping of Gargoyle eggs conceived from female members of a Gargoyle Clan) at Wyvern Castle which would be her home for the next forty years. Born in the very same rookery was her future lover, Goliath, but due to certain future events, they wouldn't remain that way.

As she grew into adolescence, and from that, into womanhood, she had many bad experiences, especially with humans. Just as most humans were prejudice against Gargoyles at the time, she became to secret loath humans as well, only considering a handful of them as allies. Goliath, on the other hand, knew his kind wasn't all to respected by the humans, but he still remained loyal to them, protecting both the home of the humans and his own clan, Castle Wyvern.

Demona (at this point in time she had no name, for the fact that Gargoyles normally are not given names, although Goliath was an exception, after being dubbed that by Wyvern Castle's monarch), though, had a plan that would rid the humans from the Castle and hopefully leave it free for Gargoyle Rule. One of her human allies, the captain of Wyvern Castle's human army, collaborated with one of their enemies, the Vikings. Together, the Captain and the leader of the Vikings, Hakar, drew up a battle that consisted of one main tactic: Attack Wyvern Castle in the Daytime, when the Gargoyle Soldiers would asleep and helpless.

While they were stone.

Demona, knowing what the plan was, didn't want to take any chances. Before the son arose that fatal morning, she flew down to the bottom of the cliff Wyvern Castle stood upon, and rested there until nightfall. Not knowing of the upcoming attack, Goliath, and his mentor (later to be named "Hudson"), departed from Wyvern Castle that evening as well, on a reconnaissance mission to the Viking Camp. Before either he or Demona left that night he appointed her in charge during his absence. In the meanwhile, three other Gargoyles, (which are dubbed "Brooklyn", "Lexington", & "Broadway" in the future) and their wingless Gargoyle-canine ("Bronx"), were sent down into the rookery, which was in a hidden room in underneath Wyvern, almost impossible to find if you didn't have previous knowledge of its location. When the sun arose, they had rested there, not knowing the atrocity that was about to take place.

When the evening arrived, she returned to the castle. As expected, she found it devoid of humans, but something was wrong.

Horribly wrong.

What wasn't apart of the plan was the merciless massacre of her clan. But that horror laid before her very eyes; broken stone remains of all that she knew, strewn all over the castle. She immediately began searching for Goliath and Hudson, if anyone survived this travesty, it would be them, for they shouldn't have been there when it happened.

She eventually did find them, in tact (and with "Brooklyn", "Bronx", "Lexington" and "Broadway"), again something was wrong. It was night-time and they were still in their stone forms. They had been placed under a spell, at Goliath's request, who thought Demona was dead at the time. Informing of this was Wyvern's Grand Magus, who placed the magic upon them. He also told her that they wouldn't awaken for the next millenium.

Demona was completely devastated and for the first time, felt all alone in the world. Her plan may have achieved it's goal, but at what cost? She left Wyvern Castle that night, hoping to never return to what she helped become a monument of death. In her mind, though, only the humans were at fault. They killed her friends her family and friends.

The truth, however...

Twenty long years had passed. Demona had become a peripatetic, wandering the country in hopes of finding her own kind. Another clan to belong to. In the meanwhile, she would terrorize whatever humans had crossed her path, even killing at times, if she felt the urge to. During that time she had made a detrimental impact on the life of one young man, Gillcum Gaine (I probably didn't spell that right, but that's how it sounds!). When he was only a boy, he was grudgingly sent out one night by his parents to clean the stables of their farm. When he reached them, Gillcum unwittingly stumbled upon a famished Demona, who was about to slay and dine upon one of his family's stallions. Before he could defend himself, she struck with lightning speed, slashing his face and scarring him for life. Not only were they physical scars, but mental scars; ones that not only damage his psyche, but would carry a lasting effect on his descendants as well.

A mistake that would follow Demona in the years to come.

In (or around) the year 1015 AD, Demona and a young Lennox Macbeth met for the first time. As of late, a masked individual had been making a name for himself not only as a top-notch assassin, but as a executioner of Gargoyles as well. This caught Demona's attention, and after searching intensively, she finally located him. Yet another fatal night had arrived for Demona, but it would not be her that would do the killing this time.

She secretly pursued the "masked one" to the castle of one named Lord Macbeth, a just man that people adored. All but one person. He was the brother of Lord Macbeth, who was one of two people that stood in his way of gaining the crown and throne of Scotland. The other person was Lennox Macbeth, the pre-adolescent son and junior to Lord Macbeth. Macbeth's brother (of who's name I can't remember at the moment) hired and sent the "Masked Hunter" out to do away with his kin, and though Demona knew not of the killer's plans, she had a feeling it wouldn't benefit those he was "visiting".

Dropping in unexpectedly on the Court of Macbeth, the "Hunter" wasted little time beginning his assault. A sword fight took place as the Elder Macbeth went one-on-one with the assassin, dueling upon on of the castle's balconies, as Lennox, his future bride-to-be, Gruoch, and her father watched from the sidelines, aghast.

To make a already long story shorter, the end result of the sword duel resulted in Lord Macbeth's death. (To find out more details, read Macbeth's Bio.)
