"Ball?" I asked. "Yep, 'Ball'." his brother, nearby, chimed. "Who's that sitting there with the kid, then?" I referred to the character who could have been "Abel's" twin. "His name's Goku. You've never heard of Dragon Ball?" the younger who was wearing the shirt, asked. I was truly at a loss, and before I was able to fulfill my curiosity on this "Dragon Ball", the kids' mother called for them to leave. Left on my own to find out about this "new world". |

Until Summer '95, my only resource to Dragon Ball were game magazines, either with their reviews of import games, brief references to the series, fan art, or the ads for import merchandise in the rear (especially GameFan and EGM). Finally, while I was attending ITT Technical Institute, I became friends with another student who happened to have internet access. It was through AOL at the time, ugh - but beggars can't be choosers. For the first time, I was able to surf the net and what was the first thing I searched for? |
